Welcome
|
Thanks for calling in to our
Web!
Our services - including
distribution, support, consulting and training in motion analysis software -
can benefit a wide range of sporting and other activities whenever it is
likely that analysis of how the human body moves will lead to change
and/or improvement in performance and/or lifestyle.
One of our objectives is to bring motion analysis to the masses - of
coaches and sub-elite athletes, sportsmen, artistic performers and
others (including the motivated, self-help weekend wannabes) -
who stand to realise perhaps the greatest benefits in technique
improvement and injury mitigation that can result from use of this
technology.
We say “sub-elite” in this context only because elite performers generally
have well-established access to appropriate technology, but we do not
exclude them or their coaches from our community or our scope of service.
And we’re here to
say that the technology is not as difficult as many may believe for the
sub-elite community - both coaches and participants - to access and use! Yet
the potential benefits are at once remarkably significant and remarkably
achievable!
This web is one of the vehicles
we use to spread the word, but we also operate in a mobile way to
reach clients wherever they are in Australia or New Zealand,
especially when it is impossible or inconvenient to assist via the web, and
particularly in the setup and establishment stages of adoption of motion
analysis technology.
You
may of course prefer, in any case, that we come
to your location or event,
especially if your activity involves special, and non-transportable,
equipment and/or facilities.
As you explore our web, you will observe that video is the cornerstone of
what we do. As practising, accredited coaches, however, we recognise that
motion analysis is but one tool in a coaches' armoury - though a very
powerful one at that!
It is our conviction that the Art of Coaching
must then take over and use the "intelligence" delivered by motion analysis,
in a continuous improvement cycle, to achieve improved and safer performance
outcomes.
The key to the power of the video approach to training, remediation and injury
mitigation, using the software we offer from Quintic Ltd (UK),
lies in the effectiveness of the communication that becomes possible among
all of the participants in any coaching program or session.
Sports

Quintic Consultancy Ltd

There are a number of ways you can use this site,
whether you are an elite athlete or coach, a weekend hacker, an educator, a
self-improver or otherwise interested in fields such as human movements, sports

In particular, we seek to make best practice methods and technology for personal
skill development available to the masses of beginners, sub-elite and weekend
enthusiasts who nevertheless have the potential to benefit much more than the
"1%" often sought by our elite performers.
A feature that we expect to have broad appeal is the
ability to upload your own video and/or still images and, after processing, view
or download the results of our analysis.
You're welcome to browse or to register your preference for membership or

| Bowling Machine Calibration |

Subscribers Only - Sample
Calibration of a Bowling Machine
Observing unexpected inconsistencies between different types of balls
being delivered by a new bowling machine, steps were taken using video footage
and Quintic software to document the
extent of variation, with clear implications for the makers of both the machine
and the balls.
Sorry, but you will need to be a Subscriber to access this kind of
report.
